Bought this to restore a 1999 Reynolds 853 frame. I didn't want to pay $150 but I needed the short stack height in order to reuse the original fork. I built it with NOS period-correct Ultegra / DuraAce, so why not? In for a penny, in for a pound.I'm not disappointed. It's nothing like the caged roller bearing headsets I'm familiar with. Unique friction collet locking mechanism, and the finish of the grip nuts Is sharp, precise, and as esthetic as a $150 headset should be.
