So I stumbled upon the Gambit Controller on a video on YouTube and it really peaked my interest. Found out about it's crazy response time which wasn't exactly accurate since they say it's about 2.5ms when you really get around 3.8ms on average but it's still by far the fastest controller I have apart from the Dualshock 4. Since you can't really use a DS4 on Xbox unless you have a XIM Apex which does add more lag, this is the best alternative if you're a huge input lag nerd. I mainly got it for the response time which I felt almost immediately connecting to my Xbox for the first time. I can tell everything felt more snappier as well as my aim. I mean... it took some getting used to but after a couple days, I started winning games and getting more kills in Apex Legends, GTA, R6 Siege, etc. I run a very low input lag setup and usually I can notice even a slight 2ms difference or around there easily since I've done so much testing before with my setup. Thumbsticks felt awkward at first but grown used to them and they're awesome. No stick drift at 0 deadzone which is fantastic and I think even if you do get some overtime, you can calibrate the sticks again so it could fix most of the stick drift. And holy crap does it have amazing features! Love the customization as well as the Victrix App on Xbox... just wish you can change the sensitivity curves but really idc much about that. You can still adjust the deadzone on the Thumbsticks but only up to 50%. I run with 0% which is preferable for most games. But what truly shocked me was the feel of the controller. I mainly use a DS4 and always loved the feel of that controller but when I tried the Gambit, it felt SPECTACULAR. For my small hands, it fit well with them. Love the feel of the triggers and bumpers as well, personally my favorite especially for racing. I can adjust the trigger stops to get perfect launches in racing and other stuff which is cool. I thought it wasn't going to fit well in the hands since it has more bulk than I'm used to but it really surprised me. I also use the rubber faceplate since I like the purple and not quite a fan of cheap feeling plastic so that's what I went with. The only issue I have so far with the controller and I mean the ONLY issue is just that you cant plug in accessories to it like a mic adapter that the Xbox controllers can use. Big setback for me since my Mic requires me to use the adapter with it but I think I have ways around it. Everything else is exactly what I expected.. actually better. Good all-round controller that can be great for racing and perfect for FPS. I also forgot to mention the paddles feel good too but I kinda just use one of them most of the time, don't usually need that many. So yeah! Best $100 I've ever spent on a controller and 10/10 recommend. Just be aware that you cant use a standard Xbox Mic Adapter on it. Kinda have to use a secondary controller to talk if you have one of those Mics. Kudos to the manufacturers for real, good job and great experience. Been about a week and not a single issue. No stick drift, nothing! I just hope this lasts for awhile.Okay so I have owned this controller for only one day and let me tell you … it is a damn fast controller !!I am a fortnite player and i started playing last December . I went through about 3 power A controllers each $50 at Walmart and I thought you know there’s gotta be something better then these things and the wireless ones the Xbox comes with .. so I searched on Amazon and I debated on buying the Victrix for about a week .. due to the mixed reviews and then I was just like you know what if it breaks it’s nothing just $100 not that bad .. or it could be amazing . SO FAR the controller is great , the triggers are good and hella smooth for shooters.. the precision joystick is good and helping sustain accuracy . And buttons THEY ARE EFFORTLESS(everything about the controller is). The bumpers and triggers are great for building in fortnite… at first the size of the buttons takes a few matches to get used to but my team and I played 10 squad matches and won 8 . I carried almost every win , had the most kills on my team almost every round .. if you play any highly competitive video games online .. give this piece of equipment a try.. if I end up seeingAny issues as times go on I will update my review ! Much love hope this helpsThis controller is phenomenal, that's literally all there is to it. It literally is the absolute opposite of the Elite Series 2; feels far from premium, but in terms of performance it delivers like mad. The thumbsticks feel way more accurate than the Elite, the buttons are all responsive (I went through SIX Elite 2s and all of them had A and Y buttons that would only respond about 90% of the time I pressed them), and honestly I think the overall design is more comfortable. The back buttons are super ergonomic, the tall thumbstick is grate as well as the convex one for running around, and the triggers are super responsive (might have to raise the deadzone a bit on those actually lol). Also being able to control the audio, mute, and chat mixer directly from the controller is outstanding, as is being able to use Dolby Atmos for free.I only have two issues with this controller... one is that it does not have multiple profiles that you can easily toggle when switching between games, and the other is that when using the rubberized purple face-plate it limits your travel distance ever so slightly so that in Minecraft it's difficult to maintain a sprint (easily fixed by just using the white plastic faceplate though). These are pretty minute though considering the price-point and though; absolutely recommend!Lets start of with the possitives. The low latency is great and when overclocked on pc it feels just as good as a ps4 controller, this is particularly noticable in games like halo where pressing slide at the right time is crucial to hitting curbslides properly. The controller its self fits nicely in the hands and the adjustable triggers are great for those who like to play various different games. The two different front shells, hard plastic and silicone, are a nice touch for those need something to silence the clack of the sticks flicking from side to side and the placement of the 2 and 4 paddle options was suprisingly good. The PC customisation software is also very intuitive. However, the biggest issue comes with the deadzones. Its has a builtin deadzone which you cannot adjust and as someone who has become very used to having the lowest setting possible I cant go back. This could be fixed in a firmare update but there doesn't appear to be anything so far, fingers crossed or an update in the future. The back buttons, although far more ergonomic and I thought they would be, were actually a hinderance at times as they are too easy to actuate. I don't grip my controller particularly tight but I would find whenever I tried to click my left stick I would accidentally actuate one or both of the left back buttons. This could easily be fixed with higher n/gf switch, a little more pretravel on the back paddles themselves or even using a slighly thicker less flexible back paddle. My last gripe is the analogue stick gate swap thing. Why does it need to have these raised parts to make them look like crosshairs? it makes it so PS4 sticks cannot rotate in a full circle without getting caught, this probably wont be an issue for most but I thought I would add it if there are any other ps4 stick fans. For the price I feel its reasonable for the fastest latency controller which is cheaper than xbox elite controller or a scuff controller. Every button can be remapped to your preference. Buttons on the back can be configured in 2 configurations 4 buttons or 2 buttons and offcoarse without any by quickly swapping them or removing completely. It did take me a couple of weeks to get used to the new locations of the share, menu and tab buttons. Also offers on the fly changes to headphone volumes ie chat/game mixer etc. The plastic does feel a little on the cheaper quality side for the front face plate. But is still comfortable to use and easy to swap out wit the silicone one. Thumbsticks and gates are easy to swap out as is directional button. Overall i am happy with this controllerAfter having to replace my Elite series 2 for the second time I decided it was time to try a new pad. After doing a lot a lot of research about various controllers I deceived to pull the trigger on the Victrix Gambit, at just under one hundred pounds with alot of great features advertised I thought it was definitely worth a try! And my God am I glad I did. What a fantastic controller, I am a hardcore, tournament playing, try Harding sweat at PUBG and now I’m even more of an absolute laser beam with this controller, the thumb sticks feel great and I can controll any scoped or red dot AR sprays with ease. I’ve had many people accuse me of cheating using this controller as all I do is beam the lobby. My flicks and spray transfers are on point and I absolutely recommend this controller for anyone that’s looking for the competitive edge! It feels fast, responsive and ergonomic in the hands, the only slight difference I’ve noticed to the elite 2 is it does feel a lot lighter and that’s the only thing I’d say I miss about the elite 2. But it’s not a bad thing and I am getting used to the feel. The triggers and trigger stops are great and the bumpers feel tactile and solid and the real MVP about this controller is the back buttons, I use the 2 button one as I don’t need 4 and I must say it is very comfortable, responsive and not too easy to press that you accidentally actuate it.The one thing I was concerned about before buying this controller is the select and options buttons either side of the Xbox button being in very different places to a normal Xbox pad I thought this was going to cause me muscle memory issues as In PUBG you use these alot for looting/ healing etc…however after a week I was completely used to the new layout and it’s not an issue at all so overall I give this controller 5 stars after using it for 2 months and highly recommend! Hopefully it can stand the test of time!Best controller I have ever owned way faster input time compared to my scuff. Update if u want faster response times with controller turn of variable refresh rate on Ur Xbox series X settings u will feel the difference still the best and most responsive controller I have ever owned way better than scuffWhen I got my controller, I put on the necessary parts on that I want, I then plugged it into my PC to configure it and remap some buttons. I then jumped into warzone…and I, honestly, was having some very good games, just from playing a couple games with this controller you can tell instantly that it has little to no input delay! Not only that, but it is very comfortable in my hands, however the start and select buttons will take some time to get used too but non the less, I am very happy with this controller! 100% better then the Xbox elite controllers.
