I have very mixed feelings about this device. On one hand, the dock is great and adds an unbelievable amount of convenience. It's such a breeze to take this thing out of its dock, have a meeting, and then plop it back on and hear that satisfying magnetic snap. It's also hands down the most comfortable headset I've ever used, even more so than other Jabra headsets like the Storm. The dock doubling as a standalone charger is also a big plus as I sometimes find myself traveling with the headset.On the other hand, battery life is a major issue. Three hours is simply not enough. While I appreciate that the point of the device is extreme minimalism for the sake of comfort and style, I don't see it as too much of a sacrifice to have a slightly larger battery for more talk time. Besides audio quality that leaves just a bit to be desired, that's really the only problem with the device. Volume buttons would also be appreciated, but again, I understand that that would add to the weight and bulk of the device, so I accept that these buttons are missing.I primarily use the headset for work with my Surface Pro 4. Using the sleek simple Surface with the sleek simple Jabra is pretty great. I'm truly pushing boundaries of office minimalism over here. Everyone else around me has great looming PC towers with air traffic controller-looking wired headsets. I do a lot of video conferencing, so I often find myself putting my headset on and taking it off, and there's never an issue establishing a Bluetooth connection. It always connects almost as quickly as I'm able to get the headset into my ear. It never droops out of my ear, the mic quality is OK, and it's easy to clean and everything.I gave this device four stars with the understanding that it is not my primary headset. I've taken to using it only for video conferencing. The rest of the time, I'm using my Jabra Storm which is connected to my phone to listen to music, take calls, and sometimes join video conferences from my phone. The Storm has a battery life of 6+ hours, so using it primarily and then supplementing the rest of my headset needs with the Eclipse works out quite nicely.If you do not have an alternate headset to use most of the time, you will not want the Eclipse. It should be used as a supplementary headset only. If Jabra would design a Bluetooth headset with the battery life of some of their other models, and with the dock of the Eclipse, they'd have perfection on their hands. But that day has yet to come.
