We have all had really terrible headset mics. Either the headset itself is uncomfortable, tinny, or breaks if you look at it funny, or the mic has you sounding like a WW2 dispatch officer. This is not those headphones.If you call yourself an audiophile, or need something with studio quality noise, I do not recommend this, and for that it loses a star in sound quality. Its certainly far from awful, and frankly I feel most people will experience nothing but good things coming from this headset. You should NOT be expecting audiophile quality at this price point, so this is not why I chose 4 out of five stars overall.First off, these headphones are pretty balanced as far as low to high frequencies, while not being extremely good at either. This DOES mean it gives you better sound quality, and so long as you mix correctly on your end, you will experience the details of whatever you are trying to listen to. At its maximum, its definitely not as loud as some headsets I have had, but I have never struggled to get a louder sound from these during normal use (gaming, movies, or music)These are not active noise canceling headphones, but the ear cushions are a comfortable and snug size that don't fit extremely tight (more on that in a bit) so it does about what I'd expect from a standard over-ear headset would insofar as noise canceling goes. You're not gonna shut off the world with these, but you will turn it far enough down to enjoy whatever you need to enjoy.The advertised 7.1 surround sound capability is a virtual one (so it doesn't have those special quad drivers or whatever) and it works pretty well when configured correctly, certainly enough to pinpoint directions of noise in games. For people who struggle to test virtual surround sound, try turning your headphones backwards for a bit. You'd be surprised how you can sort of reset your senses this way. Be sure to turn them the right way though or you'll be having a very confused time lol.The input quality (mic) is pretty good, and unlike with other headsets I have had, it filters out white noises and extraneous noises pretty well (as well as breathing and typing noises, the bane of headset mics the world over) which probably has a lot to do with both the windscreen that comes with it and my first complaint about the product.The mic is rigid and only folds up from a joint connected to your left ear speaker. This seemed fine, at first, until my own voice sometimes was too quiet in game chats or didn't always pick up when I have "detect voice" settings on. This can likely be fixed if I tune everything correctly individually and I have made an effort, but since this is not always the case with headsets and removing the windscreen only made it pick up more external noises, I'm including it in my complaints. Either its too far from my mouth hole or not sensitive enough, but its an occasional hassle to be wary of. At least I'm not blowing out my friend's ears when the game gets intense.Beyond that, I have some friends using Yeti and other stand mics who sound far worse than I do, which is likely because that havent spent the few hours needed to tweak and test their own settings. You will likely not have to do that for this, outside of quick adjustments for your own output volume.My second and final complaint is that these are definitely made for bigger heads. I don't have a small head by any means, so take me at my word that these will fit over hats, big hair, or just a big old noggin. I often feel it getting loose and try to tighten it (which is easy enough, btw) only to find that at its tightest it angles the ear pieces slightly, while not fitting as snug as I would like. I am likely used to headphones with higher tension in the band than these, but it should be noted. As implied before, these can also struggle to keep the size you set it at, but considering how little labor is required to fix it, its not a huge complaint.Its managing software is pretty unobtrusive and easy to use, and its much better than Razer and other accessory softwares I've been forced to deal with.Its Corsair, so the quality is pretty good and its taken a decent amount of stress since I've gotten it, as I can be reckless with my accessories. It also has a good looking design that isn't blasted with Gamer lights so if you appreciate sleek appliances with a touch of flair then these are perfect. The have adjustable lights with the corsair logo that you can turn off, flash, change colors, or keep on. The standard light options.tl;dr at this price point this is the best pair of headphones I have had for casual use. With only minor complaints I would happily buy this model again rather than taking a risk on another pair of similar price. If you want extremely high sound quality, you're going to have to spend more than this, but for most people this will be high tier.It’s a pretty looking set of headgear but it comes with a lot of random issues that can only be helped by babying this device. My personal set won’t charge unless it’s sitting in “just the right position” on my desk. I don’t recommend wearing them while charging. That’s how mine broke.But a coworker has the same pair at work and the left ear randomly gave out. Other than that it works fine.It just seems like a bit too problematic for how expensive these are. I was trying to get a solid pair for less than 200$ but I guess that’s not these guys. Lol.Awesome headset. I lost the dongle to my last one when I moved, and I liked it so much I bought it again. Its super comfy and I can wear it for hours without my bears getting sore. Works on my desktop computer and I can easily switch the dongle to my work laptop or PS4 and it connects instantly.Original bought because I like mics with voice feedback, but I found out I didn’t care as much as I used to, so I simply disabled it in the software settings. Settings let you change the LED light to make it match my computer RGB. I try not to mess with the sound settings much, but those options are there too, with some presets ready as well.The mic is flip to mute, or you can click the mute button. You’ll know its muted because the end of the mic will be lit up red, so theres no accidentally talking while you’ve been muted the whole time. Plus theres a lil woman that tells you when its muted or getting powered off, pretty neat.I bought a new pair of corsair headphones after thinking my old pair was going bad. They were randomly beeping and disconnecting during my games. After talking with customer support and purchasing a new pair, the issue still persisted. Come to find out, it was my router that was too close to my PC that was causing interference. After moving my router to another shelf, the issue magically went away.TL;DR FYI IF YOUR HEADSET RANDOMLY BEEPS TRY MOVING YOUR ROUTER OR ANY OTHER WIRELESS DEVICES AND SEE IF THAT FIXES IT BEFORE BUYING A NEW PAIR.when I first got the headset the audio was left to be desirable but went into my settings and did some digging to change the audio out side of normal means. the mic flip to mute was nice at first but after about a month it kept falling down and would unmute the mouth piece cover kept falling off. but over all a great headset and excellent noise cancelling tech. I do like the wireless ability just wish range was slightly more. oh and very comfortable on my headThese have been my everyday headset since 2018 when I first got my PC. My old pair still works great but they are starting to wear down and getting stretched out.Having owned many headsets in the past, the Corsair Elites is hands down my favorite set that I've owned. The sound quality is top notch, I can hear everything coming in games and the mic is great when talking on Discord as people have said my voice comes through super clearly.These are priced very fairly too, I got this set for 79.99 which is what I paid for my first Void Elite 4 years ago and in these times of inflation and rising prices, that was a very fair price. They aren't noise cancelling and the rgb is minimal, plus you can turn that off to save on battery power. They are lightweight and feel very comfortable on my head and fit over my ears so they don't sweat or get fatigued.Very good deal for your money and ones that will last a long time as well.The only problem I had with this headset is that it is too tight. After a few hours of gaming, my ears would hurt. Other than that, No Problems.As a portly man, I understand the importance of a quality gaming headset. Once I plugged these muffs in, they transported me to another galaxy of wonder and bliss. I found myself questioning some of the very foundations of life itself. After using these, I began to question the quality of the sound that surrounds us in it’s most unrestrained, rawest and freest form. Everybody knows I love my George Foreman grill, and now that I have my head phones, I won’t have to hear my wife tell me to stop playing Assassins Creed 2 because I “haven’t slept in three days” or whatever. This lamp gets my seal of approvalAl principio dudaba mucho si comprarlos o no, pero me decidí a pesar de que fueran importados, llegaron muchísimo antes y en serio que mi arrepentimiento se borro en cuanto me los puse, están de woow ya que puedo estar horas con ellos y son comodisimos (anteriormente tenia unos audífonos de PS4 platino y se volvían incómodos a las dos horas), casi ni los sientes, el audio es muy bueno y ayuda mucho que sean inalambricos ya que puedo moverme con libertad sin preocuparme por el cable. La pila es muy duradera, procuren cargarlos totalmente antes de usarlos por primera vez.El único "pero" que pongo es que el micrófono no se puede quitar, pero se puede mover hacia arriba para que no te estorbe (cuando lo haces se mutea automáticamente) y el hecho de que no se ponen como audífonos normales (El arco no es paralelo a las bocinas, va un poco mas inclinado) pero de ahí en mas, estoy contentísimo, excelente servicio.Let's get the ugly out of the way first. This headset is possibly the WORSE I've ever owned in respect to connect-ability. For it to connect and stay connected you constantly have to go to sound settings and select it as default & default communication device...not a problem usually, but for some reason. When I try to connect to steam chat, I'm forever having to do this and unplug and re plug the dongle for it to connect. I was ok with it at first, but NOW it's just annoying the hell out of me. Not to mention whenever I plug the dongle in the USB port, I ALWAYS get a "searching for device driver" window pop up and once again search for the driver that's been downloaded at least a dozen times over. VERY VERY FRUSTRATING AND MADDENING. I fail to understand this. My old Logitech wireless NEVER EVER had this issue, I'd simply plug the dongle in and a small headset beep then I was good to go....ALWAYS.That being said this headset IS however, very comfortable and the sound / microphone quality is just as nice as my old headset (may she rest in peace). I don't really care for lights on the headset, it's nice and all, but really not necessary IMHO, as I don't like these additional bells and whistles that suck battery life. On that subject, the battery is ok, however my old headset far outlasted this one for battery life longevity. This one will give you about 6 hours, my old logitech was 10. All in all I would cautiously recommend this headset, but hindsight being what it now is, next one will NOT be a Corsair, unless they get their act together and fix these connection issues. OH, by the way, the software kind of sucks for me as well. Too many bells and whistles. JUST KEEP IT SIMPLE!!!Edit Nov 24, 2019. I've decided to return these. I spent 30 minutes trying to get these to work when in a Steam game, so while my buddy's playing and waiting I'm fiddling around with settings. 30 minutes is too much. It's not just in Steam, for some reason (on occasion), the headset freezes up my windows media player to the point where it just simply won't play music. This whole experience actually made me do a fresh Windows 7 install, and the problem is still there. The frustration of the constant fiddling around to get them to do what I want simply, is too much for me. Therefore I cannot really recommend these, unless of course you don't mind fiddling around with settings 99% of the time. I prefer the old foam as it was more open backed. less seal which is all just preference.Upgraded from the first edition of these headphones.Pros: Light on the mic is much clearer.Automutes on up/down motion.PriceSound qualitySoftware compatibleCons: The foam that they use in this version provides more of a seal.The fabric is very Crinkly when you move your head around.The foam squishes a lot which results in ear slightly touching inside. (previous version didnt have this problem.)Mic is too flexible/rippable.my previous headset had the mic rip off after 1.5 years. lived another 3-4 months with tape/glue. Only reason I upgraded is the battery life sucks.
