REALLY picky when it comes to how I spend my money. My old earpiece is a samsung and I have had complaints that its hard to hear me at times (I'm travel for my job - so I'm in the car ALOT) so it was time to upgrade. I am also a tech geek so I'm naturally drawn to anything that multi tasks and is new and shiny. I searched for months for bluetooth ear pieces and found a few things I didn't know before. There is a greater price difference than features - meaning - just because an earpiece is twice as much as another doesn't mean it does or sounds anything differently. I narrowed down to what was important to me - 1/ long lasting battery. 2/ Available speech to text option - either thru a third party program or w/in the apps for the earpiece. 3/ comfort, since I wear it most of the day.I went back and forth between 3 brands. My budget was up to 100.00 so I had a wide range of choices. I read tons of reviews off different sites on the different models. I would have loved to use a jawbone but couldn't find a decent battery life. Some of the reviews on plantronics stated fuzziness or muffled voice during some background noises. They all seemed to have about the same features but widely different prices.Altho the Jabra wave was not in my initial top 3,(I didn't exclude it purposely) it was a brand I had read good reviews on and since it was an amazon deal of the day at a phenomenal price, I decided to investigate this one - and purchased it the same day. Here's what I found:So easy to pair all you have to do is turn it on. Never had such an easy time pairing to my phone. It's actually very comfortable to wear. I wear contacts so I haven't had any trouble w/ putting the ear piece on and actually forgot I was wearing it a few times. If you wear glasses you will want to put the earpiece on before the glasses but even when I wear my sunglasses it doesn't cause me any discomfort. Comes w/ a couple gel tips to adjust to your ear size. The clear/white part actually rests inside your ear just a bit and the loop goes over your ear, obviously. Very comfortable design and lightweight.Call quality is really good. Tested with the driver's side window down while I was traveling on a highway and my husband said he could barely hear anything in the background. BTW, this comes w/ a wind attachment thing too. I haven't tried it yet. It's a fuzzy thing you stick on the end of the microphone. I didn't need it. The road noise is what caused me problems before, but it hasn't been a problem yet w/ this headset and I drive approx 3000 miles every 6 weeks in my car.It 'speaks' when it's connected and when the battery is low, but does not tell you how low the battery is, a feature I'd find useful. It will continue to tell you the battery is low at more frequent intervals until you either charge it or it powers down. Takes approx 2 hours to charge, about what I've found is on the 'really good to common' side for these devices. This does not have a speech to text feature but I have an app for my phone that would NOT work w/ my old headset but works great w this one. The microphone on the headset picks up your voice easily and will work w/ the standard voice search on most android (don't know about iphone) phones as well, as I tried it out on mine, instead of using my app, just to test it out.Battery life is decent - about 6 hours talk time - but my old one lasted just a bit longer so I'm charging this one about twice a week. So far hasn't been a pain.Reason for 4 out of 5 stars is kinda silly - nothing is perfect and this is close to it for my needs - however the low battery voice can be annoying as it talks right over your phone call and the callers voice is muted for those few seconds. Not noticeable to them, but grating for me. Jabra would do well to change that feature to when the earpiece is not currently being used on a call. Also - would like more info on the battery life - do I have 30 mins? 10 mins? I'm sure I'll learn as I go on but would find it a useful addition.Instruction booklet was easy to understand and settings are pretty straight forward. For the money - this is a good buy - even at regular price. Quality is very good. Only thing I can see that may not be appealing to others is that this is not a small, hidden, make you look like you're talking to yourself kind of earpiece. You can see this one, although it's not huge. That's a plus for me. I find it on the stylish side. And I don't like people thinking I'm talking to myself.
