THX 7.1 Surround Sound Capable: Provides industry-leading audio realism for in-game immersion by providing accurate spatial audio information beyond standard 7.1 surround sound directional cues
Comfort-Prioritized, Lightweight Design with Memory Foam Ear Cushions: Wrapped in plush leatherette, the foam’s improved density greatly reduces the headset’s clamping force, while a breathable fabric minimizes sweat and heat build-up generated by skin contact
Triforce Titanium 50mm High-End Sound Drivers: With titanium-coated diaphragms for added clarity, our new, cutting-edge proprietary design divides the driver into 3 parts for the individual tuning of highs, mids, and lows—producing brighter, clearer audio with richer highs and more powerful lows
Detachable Razer Hyperclear Cardioid Mic: Able to cut off ambient noise from the back and sides, the removable 9.9mm mic has better voice isolation and produces a truer recreation of your speech, which can be further tuned via Razer Synapse
Up to 24hr Battery Life: Works on PC wirelessly for up to 24 hours at extremely low latency; 3.5mm headphone jack available for console gaming use
This headset is extremely comfortable. I tend to prefer earbuds because I don't get as warm when I wear them and they just feel a bit more free and not as isolating, but I also wanted to have a wireless headset to play around with when I just want to talk to someone on Discord. They definitely nailed the comfort with these. I did use the HyperX Cloud Alpha wired headset before this and always found those to dig into one of my ears a bit and cause some mild discomfort because the earcups didn't provide much padding - that's not an issue here. I can wear these for prolonged use without any issues, and they really don't get that warm on my head, maybe due to the cool memory foam tech they put in the earcups. Don't expect them to have a cool, icy feeling or anything - they do get mildly warm, but not enough to make you uncomfortable. The audio quality is kind of your typical Razer headset. If you've used a Razer Kraken Pro headset (I have), you have a rough idea of what these sound like. Very bass heavy and booming audio. It's not for everyone, but I actually did kind of miss that coming from the HyperX Cloud Alpha and the HyperX Cloud Earbuds. Definitely gives games that extra bit of "umph" to immerse you. The THX spatial audio is alright? Still kind of getting used to it. It almost sounds a bit muddy/lower bitrate when switching from regular Stereo, but I do pick up on the little improvements here and there. Probably not something I'll nitpick as much once I use it some more. If it's not to your liking, you can always disable it and exclusively use Stereo settings, or enable it on a manual, per application basis through Synapse 3.My biggest gripe with this headset by far is the almost non-existent sidetone. I like to be able to hear myself if I'm talking to someone and playing games/listening to music. This headset does have some pretty extreme noise isolation, and you pretty much have to be sitting in silence, or low Windows volume, to be able to hear yourself, even with the sidetone setting cranked to 100 in Synapse. You'll also need the physical volume knob on the headset cranked to max at all times to even be able to hear it that much, because the sidetone is tied to that knob, and you need to have Synapse running to even use the feature, which I know is a dealbreaker for many (I don't really mind Synapse, as all of my accessories are Razer).Overall, I don't think Razer have quite nailed it yet, but they did get pretty close. I wanted a comfortable wireless headset with good audio and a long battery life, and this delivered on all of those aspects (battery life has been incredible so far!). The quiet sidetone did have me on the verge of returning it, but honestly, my experience with sidetone on headsets has always been pretty bad, so I'm kind of willing to just put up with it. I wish manufacturers would put more focus into that.Note: I did buy this through the Amazon Refurbished listing. In terms of the refurb quality, the headset was in a generic brown box with a Razer logo on it, so it does seem to be some kind of Razer certified refurb (though Razer support claims they don't offer any warranty support on refurbs when I talked to them about the sidetone issue, so buyer beware). The headset looks like new, and the cables/USB receiver/manual were all in a sealed bag. One thing to note is that the refurb unit was missing the pop filter on the microphone. I talked with the seller and got credited the amount of some third party BlackShark pop filters on amazon (about $9 USD), so I'm happy they were willing to work with me on that issue, since they were out of replacement parts.I have been using these day for the past 2 months and they work perfectly. I was skeptical about a renewed/refurbished headset but these are just as good and clean.I purchased these after my astro a40s from 2012 were starting to degrade. Didn't know what to expect with a amazon refurbished razer product but I am plesently surprised. It came in mint condition (no scuffs) with the same braided micro usb charging and 3.5mm chat cables from razer. Feels like a brand new headset. They are very comfortable, the mic is allot clearer than astros, and they keep a charge for awhile. I am happy with my purchase.I was expecting more for the price....Good for gaming.Comfortable.Long battery life.I put this headset on for 1 minute and my friend told me to put the 16 dollar headset back onI bought them and arrive damaged also not cables on it, I prefer to pay 40 more a get a new oneDisconnects and reconnects, even cause my game to lag. Tried every solution out there.
