Last night they worked great. Tonight it was cutting out several times per minute. I'm hoping there is a firmware update coming to fix this.!!!UPDATE!!! - 9-8-17After an email exchange with Turtle Beach's customer service I learned that there is a firmware update for the headset. I was able to update this morning and it seems to be working much better, but I will provide an additional update in a few day to let everyone know if this seems like a long-term fix. Even after the update it cut out occasionally, but was much more stable. If you live in a very noisy WiFi location, these may not be for you. They are very susceptible to radio interference.!!!UPDATE!!! - 9-10-17I used the headset some more over the weekend and found a few things of note. On a fresh charge, it works great. After a few hours, performance starts to degrade. My couch is about 10 feet from my Xbox and TV. If I sit in line of sight of the Xbox, without the coffee table in between, it stays connected for the most part with a few dips in connectivity due to interference. If I sit with the coffee table in between, it dips more frequently. If I sit closer to the Xbox, say about 6 feet away, it stays rock solid stable 99.999% of the time. Perhaps it is time for a gaming bean bag so I can sit closer.All issues aside, when they are working the sound performance these offer is incredible. This would be 5 star if there were no issues. This would be 1 star if the sound wasn't as good as it is. I'm hoping a few additional tweaks to the firmware make these even better over the next few months. Until then, I am going to try to be patient. I will post again after the next firmware update.!!!UPDATE!!! - 9-14-17 - firmware 2.1.3For the last few days I have been connecting my headset to my laptop to see if the Turtle Beach Hub application has a new firmware. Tonight, I was rewarded for my diligence. For some reason you have to pair your headset with your Xbox each time the firmware is updated. Anyway, already the performance is better. I haven't had a single interruption in the audio in the first 20 minutes of watching Netflix. If you followed up to this point you will also like to know I sat as far back on my couch as I could to see if the audio stayed stable. So far, so good. I'll report back in a few days.!!!UPDATE!!! - 9-23-17So, it has been just over a week since the firmware update to version 2.1.3. This week was much more enjoyable with a much more stable connection. Battery power still has a bearing on how stable the connection is, but I have gone 8+ hours without any problems. On the other side of the coin, being wireless, they are subject to interference in the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz spectrum so this can result in random connectivity issues even under ideal situations. They will never work 100% of the time, but they are comfortably working at 99% of the time for me now. Also, the sound seems richer than any of my previous headphones due to the Windows Sonic Surround Sound. A tap of the power button turns on Super Human Hearing, and a tap of the function button toggles between 4 different EQ modes. A native Xbox One app to control the finer details would not go amiss. But I expect that we will see one shortly if Turtle Beach continues down this road.RESULT: I can now safely recommend these with the minor caveat that a little but of patience will serve you well. The sound quality alone is worth it.I wanted to leave a review about these because they are all so mixed and do not really give you a good idea of the performance of the accessory. A little background... I'm an old school gamer that just upgraded to the present day. My last purchased system was a PS3 2nd iteration and I hated it because the PSN sucked. That experience really turned me off of Online Gaming and honestly video games in general. I've been an owner of many great systems including: Atari, NES, SNES, Gamecube, Wii, PS1, PS2, PS3. I had never really played Xbox with anyone for longer than one sitting and when I did I couldn't adapt to the controller. Fast forward to present day and I now own an Xbox One S. Let me tell you why I wanted that version and not the Xbox One X. I bought the PS3 right when it was released and after they "fixed" the overheating issues. This model had less hookups than the original release version, but was mostly the same. That system was nothing but problems. So why not get a PS4 or PS4 Pro. Honestly, I love the new games and the classics. The versatility of the Xbox One S drew me because you can not only play older version games, but can also use all Xbox accessories. I just bought a low end 4k UHD TV and I've really been able to appreciate the better graphics. I also have a surround sound so it was quite an upgrade. When I was looking for new headphones I wanted something that fit well, sounded great, and performed. These headphones do all of that. Xbox Wireless Technology worked perfect. Easy setup. I upgraded the Firmware first before I ever hooked it up. Pairing was a snap. I recommend paying the extra for Dolby Atmos because it sounds great. I watched the review saying that the sound was too low and I disagree, it's perfect. There are 4 presets which all sound good for different needs. The Superhuman Hearing is more treble and mid range for sure (I know this because I'm a guitarist as well), but has less bass response. I prefer the 2nd mode for general gaming, but would probably use the Superhuman Hearing for FPS games. They stay connected and charged for a long time. My system has the modem about 15 feet away from the system with a wireless connection. I've read that many people had connectivity issues if the modem was too close. They are very versatile and I think they fit my head fine. The fold flat feature is nice too. I was looking for a nice headphone at an affordable price and I think these were just what I wanted. They are basically the better version of the Turtle Beach XO Four wired headphones. Wound definitely recommend these. Just a final note, you do need to reduce the volume of the TV or Surround system to game silently and only hear it in the headphones. I did not know this when I first used them so I thought I'd put it out there if this is your first time using them like it was for me. I hope you can find this review helpful in making a decision.Great, solid headset. I use it for XBox One, and it paired with my system flawlessly. The power button on the headset will even turn my XBox on. Very good headset for the price, and it being wireless was a huge plus for me.Ear cups and headband are cushioned with breathable fabric, which makes these comfortable to wear. I am a small human, and they fit me perfectly. But of course they are adjustable, so will fit humans of many sizes. They look cool, and do what they do very well. My only complaint is that they are a bit quiet for me. I adjusted the sound settings, but they will only get so loud. To be fair, I am a little bit hard of hearing. (I blame Pink Floyd, and a lifetime of standing next to the drummer in many bands) but with the headphones set at mode 3 or 4,volume to max and surround enabled, I’m able to lose myself in the game. And that’s what I wanted.Hidden features: Quick press power button to turn on Surround. Quick press Mode button to cycle through the different sound settings. (The headphone gives very intuitive audio cues to let you know what you’ve selected.)To help put my review in context, I play games when I can, and usually only have an hour or two to play. I got these headphones so I can play without disturbing everyone else, immerse myself in the game, and get a better stereo field to place enemies and events in the world around me. I never play online multiplayer games, so I can’t speak to the chat features. But the mic. Stays out of the way, and all you have to do to turn it on is swing it into position. As for comfort, I’ve only had these headphones get just a wee bit uncomfortable after 5-6 hours (the longest I usually play) which for me is a much needed sign to stop playing and feed the cat anyway.Very happy with these, and love gaming with them.Thought I would write a review for this gaming headset. I was going to get these when they first come out but people did have problems. Which put me off a bit. But I wanted to try them and see. So I received mine today and updated the lastest software on the headset and they have been brilliant. I’ve got mine connected to my Xbox x with the Dolby Atmos app and they sound excellent. Very comfortable and light. You don’t feel that you have them on. Plus they are wireless which is great. Ive had headsets like astros and steelseries, and this headset sounds good at half the price of them. I would recommend you give them a try.Recensione del 9/02/2018Le Turtle Beach Stealth 600 Gen1 per Xbox One S e Xbox One X sono arrivate puntuali, integre ma con imballo minimale. All'interno della confezione troviamo le cuffie, un cavo usb lungo 70 cm per poterle caricare, una piccola confezione di carta con all'interno un piccolo adesivo e le istruzioni. Da quando mi sono arrivate le ho già usate per quasi 7 ore e non si sono ancora scaricate. Come prima cosa le cuffie vanno aggiornate collegandole al computer via usb (non c'è bisogno di accenderle) e scaricando l'app dal sito della Turtle Beach. Dopo averle aggiornate possono essere accoppiate con la Xbox (come se si stesse abbinando un nuovo joystick letteralmente). Nel caso vogliate abbinare le cuffie ad una Xbox One diversa dalla solita bisogna accendere le cuffie e la Xbox in questione, tenere premuto il pulsante dell'accoppiamento nelle cuffie fino a quando non si sente un rumore acustico provenire da esse (nelle istruzioni illustrate c'è scritto che bisogna tenerlo premuto per 3 secondi); successivamente premere nella Xbox il pulsante per l'accoppiamento (dopo averlo premuto dovrebbe iniziare a lampeggiare il pulsante di accensione della Xbox). Fatto questo, le cuffie si abbinano alla nuova Xbox e sono pronte all'utilizzo (in sintesi per utilizzare queste cuffie su una nuova Xbox, solo per la prima volta occorre fare il processo di accoppiamento). Da notare che il logo accanto al pulsante di accoppiamento delle cuffie è uguale a quello presente nella Xbox e nei controller. Provate sia su Xbox One S e Xbox One X e funzionano benissimo.Ecco un elenco delle peculiarità di queste cuffie:1) nella home della Xbox, dopo aver connesso le cuffie, appare un indicatore (piccolino secondo me) vicino alla carica residua della batteria del joystick che indica la carica residua delle cuffie;2) dopo aver acceso la Xbox e aver fatto l'accesso al profilo, basta accendere le cuffie con una leggera pressione del tasto di accensione (situato nel padiglione sinistro della cuffie) fino a quando non si sente un segnale acustico e le cuffie si collegano molto velocemente (appare anche una notifica nella dashbord della Xbox che indica il collegamento con l'headset). Si può anche accendere la Xbox con il joystick e poi subito dopo anche le cuffie (non è necessario attendere che la Xbox sia totalmente avviata e che abbiamo fatto l'accesso al profilo);3) le cuffie si spengono automaticamente dopo aver spento la Xbox!! Non è necessario spegnerle manualmente (una leggera comodità);4) microfono movibile che si disattiva portandolo in posizione verticale. Quando il microfono è attivo si sente leggermente il ritorno d'audio nei padiglioni (niente di preoccupante dato che nel mio caso è proprio minimo). I miei amici mi sentono bene. Funziona egregiamente la trascrizione dei messaggi vocali in testo utilizzando la chat della Xbox;5) nel padiglione sinistro sono presenti 2 pulsanti: uno per l'accensione delle cuffie e quello accanto per scegliere delle modalità audio preimpostate. Basta premere il pulsante della modalità audio per scorrere tra le 4 possibilità disponibili. Ogni volta che cambiamo modalità audio le cuffie emettono un suono che ci avvertono in quale modalità siamo: esse si scelgono in ordine crescente (si passa dalla prima fino ad arrivare alla quarta) e ogni posizione è scandita da un suono ripetuto più volte (per esempio la prima volta che premiamo il pulsante per cambiare modalità audio sentiremo solo una volta un segnale acustico, quando lo premiamo un'altra volta si sentirà due volte di seguito un segnale acustico, quando lo premiamo un'altra volta le cuffie emetterano 3 volte di seguito un segnale acustico);6) indosso gli occhiali e con queste cuffie non ho nessun fastidio dopo circa un'ora di utilizzo. Questo accade perché i cuscinetti in tessuto che rivestono i padiglioni hanno due differenti densità. La parte dei cuscinetti che tocca le aste degli occhiali è molto più morbida rispetto al resto del cuscinetto, permettendo una minore pressione proprio su di esse. Questo è un accorgimento veramente interessante per tutti i portatori di occhiali. Per ora queste sono le uniche cuffie che ho trovato (sicuramente anche ad altri produttori sarà venuta questa idea) ad adottare questa tecnica per infastidire meno i portatori di occhiali dopo un lungo utilizzo;7) le cuffie prima di scaricarsi completamente avvisano con un segnale acustico ripetuto ad intervalli di tempo di circa 5 minuti ognuno (appare anche una notifica da parte della Xbox per avvisare che le batterie dell'headset sono scariche): dopo la quarta volta che sentiamo il segnale acustico le cuffie si spengono totalmente;8) le cuffie sembrano costruite con plastiche un po' scadenti e durante l'utilizzo si sente qualche scricchiolio della plastica, spero proprio che non vada crescendo questo rumore ma che si assesti in breve tempo. Dopo 10 mesi di utilizzo, questi scricchiolii sono terminati;9) qualche volta sembra che le cuffie grattino leggermente solamente con alcuni suoni, ma questo penso che sia da imputare al Windows Sonic piuttosto che alle cuffie. Non è solo con queste cuffie che mi capita. Ottima resa con il Dolby Atmos su Xbox. Vale la pena spendere quei 10 € circa (oltretutto avevo acquistato la licenza per utilizzarlo quando era scontata) per avere il Dolby Atmos;10) per caricare le cuffie basta collegarle via usb direttamente alla Xbox (si caricano anche se le cuffie vengono collegate ad una Xbox One spenta, non importa se essa è impostata in "Salva energia" oppure in "Accensione immediata") e si accende un indicatore rosso vicino all'entrata micro usb delle cuffie per indicare che sono in carica. La prima ricarica effettuata ha impiegato poco meno di 3 ore per terminare (l'indicatore da rosso è diventato verde);11) il tasto di accensione delle cuffie ha due modalità di pressione: da spente bisogna tenere premuto un po' il pulsante per farle accendere, mentre da accese basta premerlo una volta (senza tenere premuto) per attivare la modalità Superhuman Hearing. Per smettere con tale modalità basta ripremere (senza tenere premuto) il tasto di accensione. Se da accese, si preme e si tiene premuto il tasto di accensione le cuffie si spengono totalmente;12) se si accendono le cuffie quando la Xbox è spenta, si accende pure la Xbox. Verificato sia su Xbox One S e Xbox One X (se si hanno due Xbox One vicine e spente, si accende la Xbox accoppiata con le cuffie);13) l'audio di gioco e l'audio della chat sono indipendenti e sono regolabili tramite delle rotelline poste nel padiglione sinistro.14) questo cuffie (Stealth 600 Gen1) funzionano esclusivamente con Xbox. Non hanno il bluetooth, non possono essere connesse allo smarthphone e non possono essere cablate. È possibile utilizzarle su pc grazie al ricevitore wireless ufficiale Xbox (da comprare separatamente, non incluso nella confezione).Per ora ci sono più lati positivi che negativi. Spero proprio che si arrivi alle 15 ore di durata della batteria. Per ora queste cuffie fanno ben sperare.Rettifica recensione 13/03/2018Dopo due cicli di ricarica e scarica completa posso dichiararmi moderatamente soddisfatto. La batteria è durata poco più di 13 ore utilizzando le cuffie poco più di un'ora al giorno. Inoltre le cuffie sono restate anche per due giorni senza essere utilizzate. Per i miei standard dovrei caricarle circa 2 volte al mese ed è accettabile come compromesso.Rettifica recensione 12/12/2018Le cuffie funzionano ancora bene. Segnalo che caricandole da scariche totalmente su Xbox One X (spenta e in modalità "Salva energia") i tempi sono inferiori a 2 ore e 30 minuti. Ricomprerei queste cuffie sicuramente.Worked perfectly out of the box. Connected to the xbox quickly and fits my big old head fine. I can wear it for hours. Battery life is great and there is a long period of warning time for when they are running low so you shouldn't be left without. I had the PX5 before this, there is a drop in quality and features but it's not a like for like product. However, the connection on the 600 never drops out and there's no cable or external unit. It just works and that's good enough for me. The mic picks me up clearly and I like how it mutes when in the up position.Dont waste your money...Bought these in january, not a massive gamer either... but very disappointed...!After 3 months one side snapped and today the other has also snapped.. can't get teplacement or replacement parts.. shocking for the money, always cutting out and the build is just so poor!Awesome headset easy to set up and a long range. One annoying thing though, there is a constant buzzing in the left cup. It could be interference from something in the room and it's not too loud so when playing you don't hear it, but from a £90 headset I'd expect better. Will contact turtle beach to see if there's a way to fix it and then update the review.
